Hi Everybody and welcome to the new Skip Healy.com web site!
There are a lot of changes to my web site that I am very excited about. I hope you'll take a few minutes and click through the various pages to check out the new and improved content.
One of the major changes has been to roll my Wind on the Bay web site into my main site in hopes that by combining the two, you will find it easier and quicker to get the information you want.
I have been asked many times to supply sound samples of the various instruments we build and they are going to be added to the site along with sound and video samples of various performances both past and present too. There are also areas for you to post questions and comments to make the site more interactive as well.
I will also be blogging away on various topics as time goes on and welcome questions and suggestions for topics that are of special interest to all of you.
I am going to be adding a special feature for cyber lessons as well, so keep an eye open for that!!!
On a personal note my thanks to my friend John Harvey for all the GREAT work he has done as my web designer and "Mnister of Information" for the past 10 years. He has been appointed as the new Director of the Providence Animal Rescue League (Rhode Island) and I wish him great success in his new position!
I would also like to welcome my new web designer and Administrator Chris Gamache to the merry band of HEALY CARTEL members. Chris is a trained bassoonist, conductor, and Director of Music for his local Church as well as an aspiring Irish flute student of mine. His skills as a designer, code writer and engineer of all things cyber are easily at the Jedi level and I profoundly thank him for his work on the new site.
That's it for now, check back with us as time goes on because there will be a LOT happening here on Skiphealy.com.
In conjunction with the world famous resort community of Arosa, Switzerland and their "MUSIK-KURSWOCHEN" (music course week), I will be teaching a week long series of classes on Irish flute and tin whistle music. The program will take place JULY 31 - AUGUST 4, 2017. I will be posting information and videos about the event very soon!!! Imagine, learning about traditional Irish music high in the Swiss Alps, staying in a beautiful hotel called "Hotel Hohe Promenade" a 3 star hotel with AMAZING food and service...
